This artwork originated from a photograph that I took years ago. I love the look of the organic fruit mixed with the glass vase and I love the two little petals in the foreground. Every facet of this art is created with tiny little pieces of paper. 
" Discovery 328 BCE" - 5" x 7"
I truly love to convey organic shapes in Paper Mosaics. It is surprising to select and fit together each tiny bit of color. The title was selected because it is felt that apples were discovered in the third millennium BCE in the Middle East. |
"Carrots for Lord Woolton" - 5" x 7"
Lord Woolton was an English businessman. In 1940 he was appointed Minister of Food. He diligently worked to create programs to inspire the use of creative vegetable cooking due to the shortage of meat during the war. As a vegetarian myself, I admire his creativity! 
"Equatorial Home" - 5" x 7"
This little Capuchino Seedeater from the region around the Equator has beautiful feathers and is quite the amazing songbird. I seem to have this fascination with the natural world... and of course all these sweet little birds. |
"Commitment" - 5" x 7"
This chair is a representation of vintage perfection. The bouquet sitting on top of the velvet seat reminds me of formal occasions and all that accompanies them. 
"Young Mary Duch" - 5" x 7"
When I was a very little girl, my grandmother grew the most fragrant roses along her driveway. My sister & I would play in the puddles on the drive after a rain alongside these beautiful roses. This is a tribute to her. 
"Winter Berry" - 6" x 6"
Building this little bird was a joy. Each part of his little body is comprised of a little element. Lace, feathers, jewelry, flowers, shells and tiny pictures have been incorporated. 
"Augustine Pear" - 6" x 6"
There is an insightful story about St. Augustine and his act of throwing pears. During his life he studied his actions and uses this moment to teach. The great poet W.H. Auden stated that "St. Augustine was the first real psychologist". I find this as fascinating as creating this art. 
"Tech Flowers" - 5" x 7"
I am always trying to experiment with Art. I created a basically black and white painting with acrylics. I then took a photograph of it and, in PhotoShop, pushed the amazing boundaries of Photoshop to pixelate and play with color. I simply love the tiny little squares of color all working together to create this composition.

I helped a Client create a nature scene from a calendar picture several years ago. It was a fabulous Paper Mosaic painting when finished. So I found a beautiful photograph and 'painted' this art with paper!! 
"Summer 1967" - 5" x 7"
This iconic car was simply the most fun to create. There is nothing like this classic design and it was a challenge to design. If you look closely I used bubbles for the lights. 
Unbroken Bond - 6" x 6"
Pea Pods are fascinating. All the shapes and natural tiny vines are lovely. And, who knew there were purple pea pods? I love these two colors together. Perfect for so many occasions... Weddings, Anniversaries or a Thank You Note. 
"Anniversary" - 5" x 7"
My Husband has sent me many bouquets over the years for a variety of different occasions. I always artfully arrange them in a vase. This is a tribute to the thousands of flowers that have come to me... from him. 
"Pear & Polka Dot" - 5" x 7"
I drew this pear because I love the organic shape and variety of colors that rest upon the skin. I love the light that radiates off the surface. I am totally lost in my art when creating these paintings.

I don't know about you... but I find it depressing to shop for cards and finding them so very expensive. All of my cards I try to keep at a very reasonable price of $4.00 each.
